We have been going like gang busters lately, with only a few little bumps along the way. The truck is just about ready to pack it in, but I am confident that a new opportunity for the right vehicle is just around the corner.
Today I had a reaffirmation that I am following the right path. A customer called to let me know that their new elliptical bike had arrived early and wondered if I could come sooner than we had scheduled. I let them know that I was super busy, but if an opening came up I would gladly fit them in. It just so happened that I did get an opening and therefore called them up and fit them into my busy Winter schedule. At the end of the job they presented me with a card and a box. I was a bit taken back but gladly accepted the gift. When I opened the card in the truck this is what I read; "Merry Christmas and Thank You Laird, Just a few extra days with our bike makes so much difference to us- Tom has a very bad heart, supported with a cardiac device in his chest. Because of frequent collapses he is so anxious to get going on his blood flow. It means a lot to me also as getting two new hips recently I am eager to build up lazy muscle. We could have waited of course, but thanks, we can get going! The gift isn't chocolates or money, but something we made for you & yours. Thanks and have a good holiday season. - Tom & Joan Hardy"
