Over the past several months we have had a few scares on the road, icy conditions, torrential downpours, that sort of thing. It of course raised the question, "Is it the brakes or the tires?"
I have come to the conclusion that it is both! Our old truck is desperately in need of a complete overhaul. She looks not half bad, but when it gets right down to it she is starting to show her age. I have been making minor repairs as I can afford them, but these scares we have had made me realize that I need to make this a priority!
Fortunately, the past month and a half have been very kind to us, and the truck will now be seeing a slew of work getting done to her. I just replaced the front tires, and next week will be having the brakes checked and fixed, just in time for our first long haul!
SIDE NOTE:I apologize to any readers that may be offended by me calling my truck a her. I believe that whichever sex owns a vehicle, they instinctively call it the opposite sex!
This has been a trying first year. I started this company with next to nothing, no savings, and only my wits to find us business. In short order though things have picked up at an exponential rate, and we are seeing contracts coming in for Canadian Tire, Sears, The Bay, Home Depot, and other business giants. It is these clients that will see us through hard times, and help my credit, and credibility grow!
